Hot tub and sauna costs, delivery and installation in Ireland

Delivery and installation of a hot tub or sauna from Elite Spa Gardens costs approximately €500, depending on the product you choose and the exact location. We deliver and install throughout Ireland, and if your chosen model is not currently in stock, the typical lead time is around six to eight weeks for our Aquavia Hot tub range and Outdoor saunas from order to delivery and installation. For our Indoor saunas and ESG Hot tub range lead time is approximately 12 weeks if not in stock. Buying a hot tub and sauna together saves five per cent on the total order.

The purchase price depends on the model you choose

Our hot tub range starts at €7,500 including VAT and seats from two to six people across our ESG and Aquavia Spa ranges. You can compare hot tubs, swim spas, indoor saunas, outdoor saunas and ice baths on our shop categories page, or get in touch for a quotation.

Aquavia Spa Hot tub

Delivery and installation costs approximately €500

Delivery and installation cost approximately €500 for a hot tub or sauna, and the exact figure depends on the product and on the location of your home. The price covers delivering the product and placing it in position at your property. Electrical work is not included, so the connection needs to be arranged separately with your own electrician. If you would prefer to collect your hot tub or sauna yourself, you can pick up any product from our showroom at no cost.

Preparing your property before installation day

We recommend a concrete base for your hot tub or sauna, and it should be in place before the product is delivered. The electrical supply is your responsibility and should be arranged with your own electrician ahead of installation day. Our team also needs clear access to the spot where the product will sit, and where that access is not possible, a crane will have to be hired at an extra charge.

Buying a hot tub and sauna together saves five per cent

We can also help you put together a bespoke hot tub and sauna package, depending on the space available, your preferred models and your budget. Our page on hot tub and sauna packages has the details, and our guide to combining a hot tub and sauna explains the benefits of using the two together.

Simple changes lower the cost of running a hot tub

A heat pump cuts the cost of heating the water

Fitting an energy saving heat pump to your hot tub can lower the electricity cost of heating it by up to 65 per cent. When you choose a heat pump, make sure it has enough kW to heat the volume of water in your hot tub efficiently. A five person hot tub has about 1,100 litres of water in it, and for that volume we recommend a 9.5kW heat pump.

Good insulation keeps the heat in the water

A well insulated cover, spray foam insulation of about 25mm on the hot tub’s shell and insulated side skirts all help your hot tub hold its heat and use less energy. Hot tubs in our ESG range are built with foam insulation and a foil backed skirt as standard.

Every hot tub in the Aquavia range comes with insulation on the base, and you can add either of two insulation upgrades to any Aquavia model. EcoSpa adds an extra 30mm layer of polystyrene around the cabinet. The Nordic Insulation System uses a 10mm material made up of five layers across the base and side panels, which creates an air chamber that slows heat loss. Aquavia states that Nordic Insulation can cut energy use by up to 80% compared with a hot tub that has no side insulation, so it is worth considering if you plan to use your hot tub outdoors all year round.

Lower the temperature when the hot tub is not in use

Lowering the temperature when you are not using the hot tub saves energy while you sleep without affecting its overall performance. In the summer, you may not need to keep the water as warm as you would in the winter.

Clean filters and balanced water reduce energy use

Dirty or clogged filters reduce your hot tub’s efficiency and increase its energy consumption, so clean and maintain them regularly. Properly balanced water also requires less energy to heat than dirty or unbalanced water, so add chemicals to keep the water clean and clear.

Do not overfill the hot tub

Overfilling your hot tub causes excess water and energy consumption. Use a water level indicator to make sure the hot tub is filled to the appropriate level.
